This policy explains what information Walk in Jack ("we", "us") collects when you visit walkinjack.com, what we do with it, and the choices you have. We try to keep this in plain English.
1. Who we are
Walk in Jack is a small business based in Nebraska. We design websites, take photos, and sell digital products and services to small businesses.

2. What we collect
Information you give us
- Account info — email address and a hashed password when you create an account or claim a purchase.
- Booking info — name, email, phone, business name, project details when you book a Discovery Call.
- Brand kit inputs — answers you submit in the Brand Kit Wizard (business name, voice, audience, color/font preferences, optional logo upload). We use these to generate the PDF you requested.
- Purchase info — when you buy a digital product, payment is handled by Stripe. We receive the order details and your email, but not your full card number.
- Messages — anything you email or write to us.
Information collected automatically
- Analytics — if you accept cookies, Google Analytics 4 records pages visited, approximate location (country/region), device type, browser, and a randomly generated visitor ID. IP addresses are truncated by Google before storage.
- Server logs — our hosting provider records standard request information (IP address, timestamp, URL, user agent) for security and operational purposes. These are kept for a short period.
- Authentication cookies — when you log in, we set a session cookie so you stay signed in. This is strictly necessary and is set regardless of analytics consent.
3. How we use it
- To provide the service you asked for (deliver a product, run a Discovery Call, generate a Brand Kit).
- To send transactional emails (purchase receipts, password resets, booking reminders, account verification).
- To understand which pages are useful so we can improve the site (analytics, only with consent).
- To protect the site against abuse (rate-limiting, fraud, security monitoring).
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not run third-party advertising on this site. We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
4. Cookies & similar technologies
We use two kinds of cookies:

5. Who we share data with (sub-processors)
We use a small number of trusted providers to operate the site. We share only what each provider needs to do its job.

6. How long we keep things
- Account data — for as long as you have an account, plus a short period after closure to handle disputes and meet legal obligations.
- Purchase records — at least 7 years for tax/accounting purposes.
- Booking records — kept for our business records; you can ask us to delete them after your project is finished.
- Server logs — typically 30–90 days.
- Google Analytics — event data retention is set to 14 months.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct information that is inaccurate.
- Ask us to delete your information ("right to erasure").
- Export your information in a portable format.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Withdraw consent for analytics at any time (use the button above).
- Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.

For California residents (CCPA / CPRA)
We do not sell or "share" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. The categories of information we collect, the purposes for which we use them, and the providers we share them with are listed above. You have the right to know, delete, correct, and limit use of sensitive information; to make a request, email us at support@walkinjack.com.
8. International transfers
We are based in the United States. If you contact us or use the site from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed in the US. Our providers may also process data in other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms provided by each sub-processor).
9. Children
The site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. Security
We protect your data with industry-standard measures: HTTPS everywhere, hashed passwords, least-privilege access controls, and managed hosting on AWS. No system is perfect, so please use a strong, unique password and contact us at support@walkinjack.com if you suspect your account has been compromised.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the business evolves or as the law changes. The "Last updated" date at the top will always reflect the current version. Material changes will be highlighted on the home page or by email if you have an account.

TL;DR: We collect what you give us (account, booking, purchase info) plus basic visitor analytics if you accept cookies. We use it to run the business and improve the site. We don't sell your data.
